Redeemed by Mercy, Restored by Love

Devotion to Divine Mercy hits differently when you reach a point in your life where you realize how much of a sinner you are, most in need of His mercy. Gratitude fills my heart upon the realization that His mercy runs deeper—that His love is so much greater. As I crawl back to His heart, I ask myself: how can I even look at this gracious God? So good, so kind, so wonderful, and so merciful.

I long for You, Lord. Wash me again with Your precious blood. Restore and renew my lost soul. Bring me back to You and never allow me to be separated from You. What wealth on earth is more precious than You? How long have I longed for Your presence, Lord. I desire to be consumed by You. What is life if it is not lived for You? Emptiness. I am nothing without You. The soul is dead in Your absence. Now I realize that my greatest fear is eternal separation from You.

Holy is Your name! Holy are You, O God, who made the heavens and the earth. Ignite my heart once more with the fire of Your love. I thirst for You. Grant me a change of heart—a heart precious in Your sight.

My anxious heart I offer to You. All that has been and all that is to come, I place in Your hands. I commit my life to You again. With all my mess, I place my trust in Your promise never to let me go. In my unfaithfulness, You remain faithful. In my broken promises, You keep Your covenant. Humbled by my weaknesses, I lift my hands in surrender to Your power, to Your love, and to Your mercy. Redeem me, my Redeemer.

I still hold on to what You said: “Even though you walk through the darkest valley, I will be with you.” You are with me, Lord, and Your love always sees me through. Lies from the enemy may have tried to rob me of Your truth, but Your grace has always found me. Hide not Your face from me, Lord. I seek consolation, but even more, I seek Your presence. Lead me to the truth, that I may live faithfully in Your name.

Bring it to light. God’s love will always be greater than your sins, and His mercy endures forever. Fear not, for God looks at you through the lens of love. No matter how dark your sin may be, if you come in humility, acknowledging your sins in His presence and sincerely ask for forgiveness, He welcomes you with arms wide open. He is waiting in the sacrament of His mercy.

In the name of Jesus, there is salvation for every soul. He brings light, peace, and healing.
