The Unspoken

How can you be so warm, and yet so cold?
How can you be so caring, and yet capable of putting on a high wall?
Still, I cannot get mad at you.
You have a branch to take care of—a flock to tend.
Instead, the more I admire you.
Your selflessness inspires me to be a better person.
You never knew, but you had a great impact on me.
I guess this is the reason why I’m drawn to you.
Because the Lord knows you are a good influence on me.
An unreciprocated feeling it is.
I know what I am to you. You made it clear—a sister in Christ.
Nonetheless, I learned a lot.
Processing my feelings has helped me gain clarity.
Everything has a reason.
Even this feeling I have for you.
One day, it shall become a memory, a beautiful memory.
The moment it has served its purpose.
I don’t know when this will be.
But I’m freeing my heart to let it be.
The heart just can’t be taught to like/dislike someone.
You are worth this feeling.
I’ll feel it until I feel no more.
Redeemed by Mercy, Restored by Love
