A New Era: What good does the present situation would bring into the lives of humanity?
We are the future of the history, and the history of the future.
Hence, we are the people of the present time.
This may sound absurd but I have come to a realization that the world is going through a massive evolution. This 2020 pandemic has greatly affected our lives that seems to appear the major cause of devastation. But as I look into it, I see in a different perspective how this could be the beginning of something new. The present situation might be horrible and a nightmare to many, but what if this has to happen in order for a progressive change to occur? It will not be visible right now nor in a year or two. But transition takes place in decades.
This excites me despite the ugly circumstances that the world experiences today. Nevertheless, we can’t expect it to be flawless. Sometime in the near future, it will become a talk of the next generation—a remarkable history that has shaped the renewed world. I could just imagine the unimaginable, just like how the ancient people had wondered how the future would be—which is “us” in the current time.
I remember my teacher in grade school when she told us a story about the future generation where there will be no more classrooms, since the classes will be done electronically. It will be a future school where the discussions between the students and teachers will be done in the computer. It sounded bizarre the first time I heard it. Like, would it really be possible? I thought that it was just one of the science fictions to fantasize with our imagination.
Perhaps, that story is now beginning to realize. And it has become more interesting how this pandemic has pushed people to adapt to this new norm. 21st century embarks the rapid technological advancement and will continue to develop to adhere the present demands of the society. The usage of cellphones and internet which connect the people around the globe, making it possible for online meetings and gatherings. My late grandfather once was in awe when he saw us, his grandchildren, having a video call through a cellphone with my aunt (his daughter) who’s in the United States. He even asked how could she be in the screen allowing us to communicate. He’s amazed how the technology nowadays could make life easier and bring people together as he shared how the communication has been during his time. The exchange of letters where you need to wait for a month or two before you receive it. I could imagine how patient the people were before, when we are now in a fast-paced generation.
I wonder how the world would look like decades from now. What good does the present situation would bring into the lives of humanity? Are we really progressing or regressing? I sometimes have this hilarious idea of travelling through time to see a glimpse of the future a century from now. What would the earth look like? Can we already freely go to planet Mars just like how we travel to other countries for a vacation? Are flying cars accessible to many as the means of transportation? How about a holographic smartphones? That would be convenient for conducting online classes.
I know that my imagination could have gone wild, but I have come to my senses to look at the positive side of any unfortunate event. If we look at the history, the world has been through tough times such as wars, colonialism, revolution, and catastrophe. These are just some in the list that have influenced the shift of the modern era.
Why am I sharing this? Fascinated at how the entire human race has evolved from time to time, I realized how things and even one’s existence can be fleeting. The world might be in a total mess and what’s next can be terrifying in a human mind perspective. But looking back on how the world has been is a pattern of a progressive evolution. Hence, to hope for the best is one of the best things to do to adapt and to be at peace in this changing and imperfect world.
Above all, I am an avid believer that nothing happens by chance and that there is this Supreme Being who controls the entire universe and who works all things for good. There is so much beyond what an eye can see and what a human mind can fathom.
“Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.”

This Pandemic has occurred for the very reason to bring glory to God! Here in the USA, many ministries are relating how record numbers of people are coming to know Christ as their savior.
The gospel is reaching more and more now with the current technology! I listen to several ministries daily on both live-stream Facebook and on my favorite internet source, CSN (Christian Satellite Network).
Now that there are literally millions of smartphones with internet capability, the last commandment of the Lord is truly being carried out like never before. He said, Go preach the Gospel to every living creature throughout the world. That goal is now being met in fullness. Prophecy has declared that Jesus is coming back… when the gentile numbers have been fulfilled. I believe that time is very near!
On the prophetic calendar, everything is right on time. The ‘false’ peace is beginning to occur in the Middle East with Arab nations creating peace accords with Israel. Scripture said this would happen. Many things happening across the world today was already written about in the Bible. …and it really is happening!
There is no better time to truly know God through the Lord Jesus Christ. To have received Him as Lord and savior by the repentance of our sins, knowing that He did die for us and was rose again from the dead. He and only He has made this possible. We are living in a time where His calling us up can really happen at any moment. He will remove His Church from this wicked earth before judgement takes place. We may very will be those that are alive today to be called up.
Come now Jesus, even so now, come quickly, should be our prayer. To those who are not saved, He will come as a thief in the night. The remaining people will wonder, “where did they go?! They just disappeared!”

It is very comforting to see that others are suffering from the same problem as you, wow!
