Grace upon grace (8 Inspiring Bible Verses to Start Your Day Right)

As part of my call to create an inspirational blog site, I also collect Bible verses inspired by the fruit of my prayer time. Thus, I call it “The Gallery of My Prayer Time”. I will be posting it by batch on this website and will have a daily posting on my Daily-epistle Facebook page.
I hope this will inspire you, too! 🙂
1. Isaiah 41:10-12

As we start this year, may we find strength and consolation in God and His promises. For God said, “Do not fear, for I am with you…” In the face of trials and uncertainties, all God desires from us is to trust Him and rely on His words.
2. Romans 8:28

God takes charge of those whom He has called. Things will come naturally. You will know it in your heart. The Lord, in His power, will make things happen in accordance with His plans and purpose.
3. Matthew 6: 34

God’s grace is all we rely on. He assures us that He will take care of everything. What He calls us to do now is to let Him take the lead and allow Him to put everything into place just as He planned and prepared for it.
4. Deuteronomy 31:6

God’s grace abounds in the deepest waters. His sovereign hand will be your guide. Do not be afraid, for the Lord is with you.
5. 1 John 4:18

“Only love can change a person’s heart. Fear and wrath can never do that. A repentance born out of fear will never last. When the fear wears off, the old ways come back with a vengeance. But repentance born out of love will last. When you receive the love of Jesus, you’re so overwhelmed by that love, you can’t help but love Him back.”
6. Matthew 22:37-38

“Making Jesus your Lord doesn’t only mean following a set of rules. Ultimately, making Jesus your Lord means submitting your heart to Him.”
7. Exodus 14:14

Depression isn’t a joke. The word “sadness” is an understatement. It’s a spiral of twisted thoughts and irrational emotions. A dominating feeling of mental torture and hopelessness. You become numb, and you lose the enthusiasm to live. You do not know what you want, and you no longer dream.
When “darkness” begins to oppress and consume you, call upon the name of the Lord. The Lord intervenes and rescues those who seek Him from that loop of mental torture. At times when you feel like losing that “internal battle” and you just think of ending everything, give it to God. You are not meant to carry the burden alone. Release that heaviness inside that’s weighing you down in total surrender.
Everything will be alright soon. Help is coming. Be still. The Lord will fight for you.
8. Matthew 11:28-30

Lord, carry me on your back when it seems too heavy for me to walk. Please carry me when it seems too hard for me to keep on keeping on.

The Word of God is food for the soul. It is timeless. It serves as a compass and guide in our walk in life, especially as disciples. It is amazing how a certain Bible verse could speak to us in various circumstances at a specific time and place.
So whenever you seek the Lord and His direction, opening a Bible and reading His word is a wise move. It is never a waste of time.
In Christ,
Kiana
